• Certification for Sustainable Tourism (CST): CST is a program which seeks to categorize and certify tourism companies according to the compliance of their operation to a sustainability model. This program looks for the integration of the staff, clients, suppliers, and the community. Travel Excellence is certified since November 2007 and most of that time has had the highest level achievable (previously level 5, currently called Elite CST)
• C-Neutral National Mark: The Carbon Neutral mark is a recognition by the Ministry of Environment and Energy (MINAE) confirming that Travel Excellence has measured its greenhouse gases footprint, that has developed reduction projects and that has supported recognised offset programmes. On November 2012, Travel Excellence became the first organization registered by MINAE on the National Carbon Neutral Programme, and a pioneer by obtaining national technical certification (INTE B5), which rapidly granted the Carbon Neutral mark.
