Small Distinctive Hotels

Small Distinctive Hotels is a group of six exclusive hotels located in San Jose, Tamarindo Beach, Central Pacific (Jaco), Tambor Beach, Fortuna Arenal Volcano and Esterillos Beach. Each hotel offers the features of a luxury property, including personalized service, private and intimate settings, and exceptional cuisine. Each has its own distinctive character, making it unique and truly one of a kind. These properties are known as boutique hotels.

Founded in 1997, Small Distinctive Hotels was established as an initiative by the owners of several hotels who sought to join forces in their promotional efforts. Beyond marketing, they also came together as a family, supporting one another in the day-to-day operations of their hotels.
