El Jardin Restaurant & Souvenir
El Jardín Restaurant & Souvenir invites travelers to experience Costa Rica through its flavors, traditions, craftsmanship, and connection with nature. A 100% Costa Rican family business founded in 1998, El Jardín combines local gastronomy, authentic souvenirs, and immersive experiences across four locations: Sarchí, Orotina, Liberia, and San Ramón.
Each location offers a different way to discover the country. In Sarchí, visitors can explore the legendary Eloy Alfaro Cart Factory and learn firsthand about the traditional process of making Costa Rica’s iconic painted oxcarts. In Liberia, travelers can discover coffee through a unique experience focused on the roasting process, learning how the beans are transformed and appreciating the flavors and aromas behind one of Costa Rica’s most iconic products.
In San Ramón, the experience connects visitors with nature through beautiful gardens, animal displays, and a butterfly garden, creating an opportunity to discover local biodiversity in a relaxed setting. Orotina adds another stop where travelers can enjoy a butterfly garden and the combination of Costa Rican hospitality, gastronomy, and local products.
El Jardín also works with hundreds of Costa Rican artisans, offering handcrafted souvenirs that allow travelers to take home a meaningful piece of the country. Some of these products are crafted at the Eloy Alfaro Cart Factory in Sarchí, preserving traditional techniques and supporting local craftsmanship.
Sustainability is an integral part of the company’s operations, including solar energy, responsible cultivation of ingredients, wastewater treatment, and composting through vermiculture.
From coffee and craftsmanship to butterflies, gardens, gastronomy, and living traditions, El Jardín offers travelers an opportunity to experience the authentic Costa Rica behind the iconic landscapes.
